Details

Made of rich mahogany and carved on the top of the lid with what we feel are initials, but so stylized are these initials that we can not discern what precisely they are’.  Hexagonal shape and having an inlaid star on the top and an additional like inlay on the underside of the lid.      Ivory diamond shaped key escutcheon, but regrettably key is absent.  There also appears at every intersection of the sides a  lighter wood spline.  Wonderful original condition.
