Folk Art Bookends……Victorian Ladie’s Boots Form

Pair of lady’s carved wood boots made into bookends by the addition of a metal plates on the bottom.  We are unsure what these shoes started out as but certainly someone made a clever use out of them.  We assume, though we do not warrant such, that the vibrant red color was how they were found.
