Cast Iron Figural Doorstop

Exquisitely cast iron dog doorstop, of a dog breed unknown to us.  Has an illegible signature on the backside, which we are unable to decipher and does appear reminiscent of a numeral. Retaining very good brown patination and in excellent condition.
